August 25,1961 - December 25, 2014
Our dear friend and brother Mark Francis Bordelon passed away from a sudden illness on Christmas Day 2014. Mark was born on August 25, 1961. He grew up and graduated from high school in Southern California. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce M. Sanelle (nee North), and his father, Jerry F. Bordelon, as well as his dearly beloved step-father, Frank Sanelle. Mark is survived by two sisters, and ex-wife, Junko Bordelon. Mark joined the Navy out of high school and served as a submarine sailor during the Cold War. Mark made several enduring, life-long friends while serving his country. Two of those men, Mark Sperr of New Jersey and Rick Keeney of Minnesota were inseparable. Mark worked for a steel trader in the Bay Area and was a vital employee. He is dearly missed by his co-workers, many of whom count him a close friend. Mark loved live music, computers, and his puppies. It was his singularly unique and brilliant sense of humor, as well as a certain innate wisdom, that bound him to the many friends and family who miss him more than they can ever explain. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

My heart is sad knowing that you are gone. You were my first boyfriend. We were in 7th grade at Oxford. I kept the carnation you gave me on Valentines Day pressed in a book. You were so sweet. Mark, you will always be in my heart. You touched my life in a kind and beautiful way.

Truly a nice guy. I remember you at Cypress High, me being the shy girl and you always making conversation with me and making me laugh. Thank you for the memories. Rest in Peace.
