Surrounded by her two loving sons and family, Mary Catherine Logan Malouf, fondly known as "Logue" passed peacefully from this earth May 28, 2023, in Newport Beach, California.
She was 81. Born May 17,1942 in Baltimore, Maryland to John and Mary Logan. She was the eldest of four children. Mary Catherine graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory School and went onto Marymount College of Virginia, Class of 1962. She moved to San Francisco in 1963 and met Donald Malouf Sr. whom she married in 1967. They lived on the Peninsula from 1970 to 1998 where they raised their two sons. She was actively involved in local charities and parent organizations for the community and her son's schools. Logue was well known for her competitive spirit on the golf course, and at the Bridge table. She was a two-time women's club champion at her club in San Francisco. Logue was an incredible mother to both her sons and a proud grandmother of six wonderful grandchildren. All of them brought her great joy throughout her life. Logue was a woman who made friends with all walks of life. She was always interested in others and their success. While raising her family and throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling, the symphony, swimming, and cooking. She also embraced her Catholic faith.
Logue is survived by her son Logan Thomas Malouf and daughter-in-law Katherine and their children Madeline, Murphy and McKenna Malouf of Newport Beach, California; her son, Donald Windsor Malouf Jr., her daughter-in-law, Rosemary and their children, Donald W. Malouf III, Jake and Ellie Malouf of Portland, Oregon. Her brother, John Logan and sister-in-law Mary of Baltimore, Maryland. Sister, Jane Logan Bennett and brother-in-law Richard Bennett of Baltimore, Maryland, Brother, Thomas Logan and sister-in-law Mary of Baltimore, Maryland.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Logan and former husband, Donald Malouf Sr. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations to be made in her name to the American Cancer and Melanoma Research Alliance. A celebration of life will be held in the San Francisco Bay Area on July 20, 2023.
