Maxine E. Irwin

IRWIN, Maxine E. - Born January 7, 1921 in the historic mining town of Leadville, CO passed away on March 29, 2005 at Kaiser Hospital, South San Francisco. Beloved daughter of the late Louis Springhetti and Elizabeth Maffei. Loving wife of the late Francis J, Irwin; loving mother of Jerome and Terrance Irwin, and the late infant son Kevin. She was the last survivor of a family of seven; preceded in death by her five sisters, and one brother. She came to San Francisco in 1943 with her husband Francis and started the County Line Cleaners in 1949 which she operated for over 50 years. She loved playing Bridge and was a member of the Bridge Group at the YMCA, Stonestown and Doelger Senior Centers. A past member of the Circolo Trentino-Tyrolian Club. Family and friends may visit Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 9 pm and are invited to attend the Vigil Service Sunday 7 pm at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 1 Elmwood Dr., (So. Mayfair & Southgate), Daly City. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
