Michael Chevalier Memoriam

Michael Chevalier
03/16/1954 -- 11/25/2020
Our brother, Michael Chevalier, peacefully passed away in his sleep on Nov 25th, 2020 in Roseville, CA.

He was born and raised in San Francisco.
He attended St. Dominic's Catholic School where he made his first Holy Communion. After our parents move to the Inner-Sunset, he enrolled at Laguna Honda Elementary, Herbert Hoover JHS, and then Abraham Lincoln HS. He attended Catholic Catechism classes on Saturdays at St. Anne's School, where he received his Sacrament of Catholic Confirmation

Michael worked for Wells Fargo Bank for 30 years before becoming a Bus Driver for the Roseville Transit System.

A life long devoted Catholic, and avid sports fan. He always backed his "home teams", (49ers, Warriors, & Giants).

At a very young age he began collecting comic books, which he continued well into adulthood, obtaining very rare Marvel and DC comics.

His easy going manner, and robust laughter will be greatly missed and greatly remembered by us and all his friends.

Per his request, he was cremated.

Rest in Peace Michael, and Rest in Strength.

Peace & Love,
your siblings --

Walter, Helen (Stehlik), Doris (Kerschner), Melvin, & George.

I lived down the street in SF 6th Ave/Judah from the Chevalier Family. Fond memories of the neighborhood playing basketball with Michael and brother Walter. Michael was a kind and friendly guy. Condolences to the Chevalier Family.

Thank you to my brother Walter for putting this in the newspaper. Thank you to those who remember my big brother Michael.
He was easy going, simple in his choices, loved ice cream especially chocolate ice cream, Coca-Cola, food, sports, and being with family. His comic collection is a treasure to us who shared his passion. The first time I cried tears of joy was when Michael visited me in SoCal. I was barely 19 yrs old living on my own. He did a surprise visit. After a few days he left and headed back to San Francisco. That evening, as I was reading a comic, i found a note Michael had left me. His note said "go to the closet and look under the blanket". So I did as the note instructed. I found a Minnie Mouse. Michael had visited Disneyland while I was at work. Minnie Mouse was in a pretty bag along with a note saying thank you and i love you from big Mike. Tears fell. It was the first time my brother showed me that he cared. Thank you Michael. And I still have that Minnie Mouse.
See you on the other side. Love your sister Helen.

We enjoyed a fantastic childhood in the Laguna Honda neighborhood. Lots of wonderful memories with Michael and Walter in the Laguna Honda playground.
With deepest sympathy,
Steven
