Passed peacefully in her home on November 19, 2018 after suffering a stroke a few weeks earlier. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband John. She was the loving mother of Michelle (Don) Torre and Mariann (Rick) Ward, and cherished grandmother of Kaitlin and Kara Torre and Stacey and Jeffrey Ward. She is also survived by eight nieces, one nephew, and several godchildren. Predeceased by her parents, James and Gertrude McSweeney and brother Paul McSweeney.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Mrs. McAuliffe was one of the reasons I went into teaching! I have many great memories of her, especially when my mom did her hair every Friday afternoon! Sending hugs and prayers your way!

Sorry to hear of your loss. Mrs. McAuliffe was a gentle and dedicated teacher. She knew how to help kids feel good about themselves Home cooked pancake breakfasts for her 2nd graders were legendary.
