Dr Lee was my pediatrician. I loved seeing him up at the Kaiser office building. They had such a great play area.
His gentleness and true interest in us as people was so wonderful
He was part of my inspiration to also become a pediatrician.

I am Benjamin tong. Retired university professor. Psychotherapist. Instructor in taijiquan & qigong, etc., etc.
Ray Lee was at the heart of CCFC, the `Tahoe Conference.´ Truly truly our guide & mentor. As well `camp doctor,´ major head chef, star gazing guide, extemporaneous speaker (whenever there was need of one in the moment), etc. CCFC´s grounding in classical Chinese culture, language and history was in large measure the result of Ray´s learned influence as a China scholar.
I recall Dr. Ray and me spontaneously breaking into song at just about any moment, especially in the Lakeview Lodge kitchen in the early morning. I think of Albert Camus´ words: "A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words." Ray was that kind of friend. Our friend is now gone but Ray´s spirit is ever near. We shall meet again, not in our own time but in God´s time.

Dr. Lee was my children´s pediatrician in the 70´s through the 80´s. I felt so fortunate to have him as their doctor. He was so patient and knowledgeable. May he rest in peace.
