Roberta Reynolds Roberts

Roberta Reynolds Roberts Resident of Rossmoor, Walnut Creek, CA, died peacefully in her sleep on September 20, 2009, after fighting a short battle with cancer. Roberta was born May 18, 1930, in New Orleans, LA. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Dominican High School and Ursuline College in New Orleans. After college, she taught Math for several years. Roberta was married to the late William F. Roberts, a longtime employee of the American Lung Association. Roberta worked for over 30 years at Kaiser Hospital in Oakland. She loved to play cards and could be found almost any day of the week at a bridge game. She also loved to travel, both domestically and internationally, and had a special passion for cruises. She was actively involved with church activities at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Walnut Creek. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Roberta is survived by son William F. Roberts, Jr. (Cheryl), daughters Jan Alonzo (Larry), Kim Roberts, and Pier Roberts (Kenan); grandchildren Melinda and Kimberly Roberts, Rachael and Sarah Alonzo, Travis Crenshaw, and Zak and Ela Lopcu. A viewing and rosary will be held at Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel, 1139 Saranap Ave., Walnut Creek, CA, 94595, on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A mass will be celebrated at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Walnut Creek on Thursday, September 24, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Good Neighbor Fund at St. Anne's Church, 1600 Rossmoor Parkway, Walnut Creek, CA, 94595.
