Sandra Fitzpatrick Obituary

Sandra May Fitzpatrick

April 22, 1941 - April 1, 2018

Surrounded by her family, Sandy passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018. She is survived by the love of her life, Joseph Fitzpatrick; her three children, Christine (Dave Deasy), Dennis (Amy Fitzpatrick), and Shannon Violante; her 6 grandchildren, Justine, Caroline and Brendan Deasy, Skyler and Dermot Fitzpatrick, and Devon Violante; and her beloved niece, Coco Cocozzella.

A resident of Marin for over 55 years, Sandy will be remembered for her great sense of humor and zest for life. An avid sportswoman, she was known for her prowess on the tennis courts and highly competitive nature. Motherhood, gardening, cooking and shopping were her passions. In recent years, her greatest joy was following the footsteps of her grandchildren.

She had a kind and generous spirit and will be greatly missed. Sandy was independent and unique – and the world will be less without her in it.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial and celebration of Sandy's life at noon on Sunday, April 22nd, 2018, at Piatti's in Mill Valley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the San Rafael Fire Foundation, Homeward Bound of Marin, or the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
