Here is Sara with the students she loved and inspired at Kennedy High School in Richmond, just a few weeks after her brain surgery! She's in the red cape (of course) on the far right.

Sara and I met in 1972 as American Field Service Exchange students. We spent that first night waiting out the hurricane that destroyed much of the east coast. We survived the first ever pilots strike during that trip to Costa Rica. We had harrowing times and Everytime we got together over all these years it's always been a fun and exciting time. We bonded, we considered each other as sisters. I cannot find the words to express my condolences to Greg and Margo. We have all come together to hold Sara up during the last 18 months. It was unimaginable that our vivacious, beautiful, and brilliant Sara is gone. I believe we will be together again when our Lord Jesus unites us. So it is so long my friend R.I.P. till we meet again.
