Stanley Magulac Obituary

Stanley George Magulac

1927-2017

Stan was born in Dayton, Ohio, the first American citizen in his Croatian immigrant family. He attended Holy Angels school. He was drafted and served in the army for 18 months in Germany, then used the GI Bill to attend Boise Jr. College (where he met his future wife, Ruth), and University of Oregon.
Stan and Ruth Lorraine Lyman, were married on June 18, 1954, in San Francisco and their marriage lasted 62 years.
Stan used his psychology degree and his Croatian heritage to his advantage by becoming a consummate salesman. He raised his family in San Carlos, where he lived in the same house for 51 years.
Stan was preceded in death by his son, George in 1979, and his beloved wife Ruth (who he lovingly nursed through her battle with cancer) in 2016. He is survived by his son, Mark (Cheryl Foreman), and his daughter, Laura Stager (Mark), four married grandchildren (Joshua Stager, Jason Stager, Anna Magulac Toews and Julia Stager Mayo), and five great grandchildren.
Stan was an avid sports fan. He closely followed the success of the San Francisco teams. He cheered his Giants on to 3 World Series, his Warriors to 4 NBA Championships, and his 49ers to 5 Super Bowl victories.
Stan's legacy of unconditional love, generosity, and kindness will live on through his family and friends.
