Steven Murillo Obituary
July 28, 1961 - June 16, 2018
With devoted wife, Linda Murillo and twin brother, James Murillo, by his side, Steven Charles Murillo peacefully slipped away on June 16, 2018, at 4:02 pm in Sugarland, Texas.The 56 years of his life are filled with many memorable moments. A master plumber and a proud citizen of The Raider Nation, Steve was most of all a magnetic personality. Those who knew and loved him were always entertained. Steve could find the good in everybody and could give you a nick-name that would stick! Steve also had a unique affinity for animals and pets. Steve will now join his beloved pets, Yogi, Kona, Rudy and Clyde. Anna, his latest dog rescue is also grieving.
Born in San Francisco, California on July 28, 1961, Steve was raised on the peninsula and attended Franklin Elementary School in Burlingame, California, Burlingame Intermediate School and a proud member of the Class of 1979 Archbishop Riordan High School, San Francisco, California.
Steve leaves behind his beloved wife of 23 years, Linda Murillo; father Dr. Charles Murillo; brothers, James Murillo, David Murillo and Jonathan Murillo; daughter Christina Murillo and granddaughter Savannah Wells; son Matthew Murillo along with many cherished relatives and friends.
A memorial celebration for Steve will be held at Washington Park, Burlingame, California on Monday, July 23, 2018, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Archbishop Riordan High School, 175 Phelan Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94112. Donations can be submitted on line https://riordangiving.com.

My heart is saddened to learn Steve passed so young. My little brother by nearly 8 years, Dan, played with the Murillo brothers since we moved to the peninsula. I remember Steven and all of my brother's little friends (then) very fondly as I was in their midst during some planning sessions and sometimes drove them places. I loved hearing stories of how all they progressed in life; some marrying and with children and even grandchildren. This was a heartbreaking life event update I wished weren't so for this sweet guy. Love and prayers to Steven's family and friends who knew him best. He really was a bright light of joy and wit.

After celebrating my birthday this weekend with our mutual friend Ken Karp, I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Steve's passing...and my grief is equally shared by so many of our Burlingame neighborhood friends! Dr. Dave and Jimmy - there are no words I could write to lessen your sadness but know that I've always considered "Illo" to be one of the few people that shaped my course in life. My heart goes out to the Murillo family in this sad and difficult time and I wish you strength to get through, and to remember the kindness and generous nature in Steve's heart.

Steve. Buddy. This is way too soon. I have many outstanding memories formed over 40 years of our friendship. Ever since I heard the sad news these memories keep happily interrupting me throughout the day. They make me smile. You were kind, dedicated, funny, and an amazing story teller.
