William Duke Obituary

William J. Duke
December 5, 1935 - June 25, 2022
Bill passed away on June 25, 2022 from complications of dementia. Bill was born in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Edward and Genevieve Duke. He is survived by Charleen, his wife of 48 years. He was the brother-in-law of Stephen (Mary Alice) Watson, sister-in-laws Susan Watson and Janet Watson, and the late Paul (Gail) Watson. He also had many nieces and nephews. Bill went to Bellarmine Prep and the University of Santa Clara. He practiced law in San Francisco as a civil defense trial lawyer. Bill was an avid tennis player. He always liked a challenge on the court and was a fierce competitor. He played regularly at the Olympic Club where he was a member for over sixty years.
The Family would like to thank the caregivers who attended Bill for the last three and a half years in Oasis at Alma Via of SF.
Any donations in Bill's memory can be made to St. Anthony's Foundation of San Francisco.
