Jose Guzman Obituary
Following a day of sunshine and happiness with his family, Jose G. Guzman, 20, of Plymouth passed away in peace at Childrens Hospital on Sunday, July 9, 2017.
Jose was born on July 28, 1996 in Mexico, a son to Jesus and Dinora (Gonzalez) Guzman. As a child he came to the United States with his family. He attended schools in Plymouth, graduating from Plymouth High School. He was an enthusiastic soccer fan and was an assistant soccer coach at Plymouth High School. Jose had a smile and personality that could brighten the room. He had an artistic talent and enjoyed drawing. He had been employed at Wal-Mart.
Jose is survived by his parents, Jesus and Dinora Guzman of Plymouth, a brother, Jesus of Plymouth; his two sisters, Maria and Elizabeth Guzman of Plymouth; his maternal grandfather, Miguel Gonzalez of Mexico and his paternal grandfather Ramon Guzman also of Mexico. Aunts, uncles, cousins and an extended family of other relatives further survive. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Luz Bran and paternal grandmother, Maria Guzman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 PM, Saturday, July 15 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Plymouth with the Rev. Matthew Widder as celebrant. Family and friends may gather at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services, 123 South St. on Saturday from 8:30 AM until 12:30 PM with a procession to the church to follow. Burial will be in San Jose Casas Caidas, Jalisco, Mexico.
