Gather Mask Obituary
Gather attended Camp High School in Shelby, NC. He was retired from Bridgestone Tires and formerly worked part-time with the Post Office in Grover, NC.
He also was a volunteer with the Cleveland County Sherriff's Department which he enjoyed doing.
As a dedicated member of Bynum Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Mr. Mask devotedly served on the usher board and faithfully attended the Adult Sunday School class.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Mask was preceded in death by his three brothers, Robert Mask, Silas Mask and Boyd Lathers; and one sister, Martha Ann Mask Black.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Dorothy Ann Ager Mask of the home and her children, Kenneth Mobley (Deborah) of Lewisville, NC, and Karen Spencer (Jay) or Garner, NC; three brothers, James Mask and David Mask
(Sarah) of Shelby, NC, and Charles Mask (Ada) of Miami, FL; two sisters, Odessa Littlejohn of Miami, FL, and Helen Whiteside of Shelby, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews and and a host of other close relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at noon at Bynum Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church 213 N. Cansler St. Kings Mountain, NC.
Burial will take place at Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until noon on Saturday and at other times at the home.
