Jim Langley Obituary

LAWNDALE - Mr. James Corbett Langley, 60, of 1631 Union Church Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center, Northeast in Concord.
He was born in Cleveland County, Aug. 7, 1948, son of the late Wilbur Gordon Langley and Lucy Geneva Crotts Langley. He was employed as owner/operator and truck driver for J.L. Express Trucking Company. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam era.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Langley.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Diann McMurry Langley; son and fiancée, Gordon Langley and Gail Whisnant of Lawndale; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Langley and Hollie Langley of Lawndale; and three grandchildren, Emma Grace Langley, Jordyn Wray Langley and Landon Jared Whisnant.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Friday, Dec. 19, 6 to 8 p.m., Stamey Funeral Home.
Memorial Service: Saturday, Dec. 20, 10 a.m., Fallston Baptist Church
Burial: Private
