Bryan Gates Obituary
BENTON, LA- Funeral services for Bryan Stuart "B.G." Gates, 23, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Lynn Malone officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Bryan entered into rest peacefully in his sleep, June 20, 2008 in Benton, LA. He was a graduate of Benton High School and a Technician Assistant with Watkins Air Specialists. The people who really knew Bryan, loved him unconditionally.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Calvin Stuart Croom.
Survivors include the love of his life, his mother, Elizabeth Croom Gates; father, Darryl G. Gates; sister, Erin Gates; maternal grandmother, Jean Croom; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rayford Gates and aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin R. Goodwin, Mr. Calvin Stuart Croom, III, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Purdue and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Alan gates.
Pallbearers will be Geoffrey Ahlstrom, James Hawkins, Brandon Knipper, Ryan Combs, Brad Orr and Christopher Letson. Hill Crest Memorial Funeral

I graduated with Bryan and knew him since we were in the 6th grade. To the family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Bryan was a very sweet and charming young man. I have not seen him in many years but he will be greatly missed.

Gates Family,
I knew B.G since the 6th grade... and everyone who knew him had the pleasure to know a great guy!.. Such a charming and fun loving guy.. with a smile that stretched from ear to ear.. always there for a friend in need.. it's been many years since I saw B.G..... but none the less.. he will be missed!!.. I pray that your family will get through this tough time.. and remember the good times.... and know he is looking down on you all this day.. and future days to come.. We all love you Bryan!!! I am truly sorry for your loss, I lost a son a few years ago and he was also 23. My youngest went to school with B.G. and is shocked with the news, just as I am. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Trust in God and he WILL get you through, trust me, I know.

I am so very sad to hear about this loss...Bryan was an amazing person that i have been fortunate to know for many years. Since 6th grade to be exact. I will be there tonight to say my final good-byes but it's so unfortunate to have to do so. He had so much life. I will miss him very much. R.I.P. B.G.

BG, it's Memmer, I was so sad to hear the news today! I pray that you find what it is you have been looking for, you are now in God's hands and rest assure you will be in good hands.
I pray that what has happened to you will help your closest friends realize just how short life is and can be. Mom you were absolutely the love of his life, however he loved you all.
