Kenneth Bogle Obituary

Untitled Kenneth E. "Beazer" Bogle

Keithville, LA - Kenneth E. "Beazer" Bogle, age sixty-three, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. His loving family and faithful canine companion, Duke, were by his side at his home in Keithville, Louisiana.

After faithfully serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict, he returned and served as a deputy for the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Department. Serving as pallbearers will be Carl Davis, Spencer Hamilton, Bobby Leflett, Billy Mixon, Ronnie Powers, D.V.M., Bobby Saddler, and honorary pallbearer Jerry Burkett.

Services for Beazer will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, Novemeber 7, 2006 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rev. David Permenter and Rev. Douglas Stone. Interment will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will welcome friends and family afterwards at a reception at the Bethel Church.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Logansport.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff of Christus Schumpert Cancer Treatment Center. Beazer loved giving them all a hard time. He will always be their "Marlboro Man." Rose-Neath Funeral Home

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Keneth E. (Beazer) Bogle our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Beazer. And to Beazer it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Vietnam War while serving in the U.S. Army. Beazer we bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,452 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Beazer’s family and loved ones.

Carroll R. Michaud, Commander, American Legion Post 14
