DYLAN KEITH BEST

Dylan Best passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at his home in Burbank, CA after a tragic accident.

Dylan was born on January 10, 2003 in Northridge, CA. He lived in Valencia for 3 1/2 years and has resided in Burbank for 3 1/2 years. He was a first grade student at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School. Dylan loved God, and his family and friends. Most of all, he loved life. Dylan's infectious smile and enthusiasm for life brought joy to all who knew him. Going on date nights with mom, bike riding with dad, motorcycle riding with Daddy Paul, or simply playing with his three siblings were happy times for Dylan. He treasured competing with Ashley to memorize Awana verses, playing Wii with Alyssa and hugging his little brother, Austin. The twinkle in Dylan's smiling eyes confirmed his happiness.

Dylan is survived by his mother, Kristin Perkins; his father, Brandon Best; his stepfather, Paul Perkins; his older sister, Alyssa Best, his twin sister, Ashley Best and his little brother, Austin Perkins. His grandparents, Steve and Vinnie Haag and Judi Best, uncles and aunts, Ryan and Alyssa Haag, Keith and Kim Haag, Allie Haag and Sean and Tina Best along with his cousins and many other family and friends also survive Dylan.

A celebration of Dylan's life was held on Monday, March 15, 2010. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to the Dylan Best Foundation that will be dispersed to charities in the community. Dylan's family wrote, "Dylan left this world as he entered, marked by trauma. Though here but a short time, Dylan's young life enriched and blessed his family and friends with his beautiful spirit and his zest for life. May his gentle soul rest in peace with the Lord."
