Larry Wims of Santa Clarita, CA went peacefully to his eternal home to be with The Lord on July 28th, 2025. Larry was born May 31, 1937 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Freda and Winfred Wims. He had been married to Jackie Wims for 66 years prior to her death in 2022. Larry graduated from Roosevelt High School in Cedar Rapids and Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York, where he studied Thermographic Printing. He spent his first career in the Thermographic Printing business. Later in life he was a Realtor with Prudential California Realty. Larry was a long time active member of his church, Christ Lutheran in Valencia, CA. He participated in weekly worship as well as participating in bible studies. He always had a smile to share with anyone he met and took time to talk with them and was always genuine in getting to know them.
He is survived by his three children, Wendy Wims-Boyd (Dann) of Quicksburg, VA. Paul Wims (Patti) of Gig Harbor, WA. Bret Wims (Jean) of Santa Clarita, CA. He is also survived by his brother Earl Wims(Rita)of Chesterfield, MO. Six grandchildren, one grandson-in-law, four granddaughters-in-law, ten great-grand-children, plus many nieces and nephews.
His Memorial Service will be held Saturday November 1st 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church 25816 Tournament Rd Valencia, CA 91355.
