Mark Davis Obituary

Mark Russell Davis
August 14, 1955 - March 20, 2025
Mark Russell Davis was born on August 14, 1955 and passed from this life on March 20, 2025 in Oak Park, California. Mark's parents were Billy Davis and Dorothy Warwick Davis. His siblings were Mike (deceased) and Sherry Manes. He obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in business and worked in accounting and Human Resources.
As Mark aged, his priority became his family, and especially his grandchildren. Mark's son, Justin Davis, along with Justin's ex-wife, Christina Davis, have three children: Logan (14), Gavin (11), and Scarlett (9). Mark's daughter, Kallie Davis Rogers, along with her husband, Blake Rogers, have four children: Jack (10), Bennett (8), Kip (6), and Flynn (22 months).
Mark developed rheumatoid arthritis years ago and that took a toll. Regardless, he'd pack his electric wheelchair into the back of his car, head to a child's practice or game, unpack his chair and turn into a number one fan.
Each of his grands has a sweet piece of his hobbies: harmonicas, trumpets, guitars, a didgeridoo, a stray motorcycle helmet, and more. They also will always have their favorite memories of their Papa Mark.

I experienced Mark as a gentle and generous presence. He showed an interest in my music that touched me, and gave me a beautiful guitar strap that is still with me today. His own mobility and health issues did not stop him from showing up for his family, and especially his grandchildren. I liked hearing his stories, and found his smile to be a comforting reminder that one can find contentment in the small moments, even amidst life's challenges and chaos. I will miss having him around.
