Amanda Wahl

SPRINGFIELD, IL - Amanda Dee Wahl, 35, passed away at 6:41 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at her residence.

Born in Alton on Oct. 5, 1979, she was the daughter of David Colgate and Jeanette (Johnson) Garibay.

Amanda had been a lab technician at Springfield Clinic.

Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Jeanette and Louis Garibay of Afton, Mo.; father and stepmother, David and Peggy Colgate, of Eddyville, Ky.; grandparents, Dorville and Zelda Johnson of Wood River; life partner, Lori Duerr of Springfield; daughter, Allison Wahl of Godfrey; brother, Michael Ginalick of Chicago; sister, Melissa Yarborough of Rosewood Heights; former husband, and still friend, Jason Wahl of Godfrey; aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will be from held from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, March 15 with a Reflections of Life Service following at 5 p.m. at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, Ill.
