James L. Trader
SPRINGFIELD - James L. Trader, 59, died at 12:10 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at his home. He was born July 30, 1955, in Springfield, to Dorothy Laskowski.
He is survived by two daughters, Michelle Trader of Lisle and Pam Trader of Springfield; two sons, James "Jim" Michael (Stephanie) Trader of Naperville and Matthew (Virginia) Trader of Irvine, Calif.; three grandchildren, Callie Basil, Isabella Trader and William Trader, with one on the way, Eliana Ray; one brother, Bob Laskowski of Springfield; two sisters, Cherie (Pat) O'Neill of Springfield and Rose Trader of Petersburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother; adoptive father, George Pokora, and one brother, David Meyer.
James was a resident of Springfield and worked for Harold O'Shea Builders.
Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at Staab Funeral Home with Vaughn Beeman officiating. Private burial will be held.
Memorial contributions may be given to his grandchildren in care of Michelle Trader at Chase Bank.

Grew up on the North side with Jim. Nice kid and very handsome too. Also went to school with him (graduating class at LHS 1973). Shocked to read this. Gone too soon.

I went to school with Jim and had a lot of fun times. He always made me laugh and have a great time. He will be Missed very much. My sympathy to his family. Rest in peace Jim.

Jim and I had a very special relationship once and remained very good friends. It breaks my heart he is gone so soon. He was a very special person and he loved his family most of all.
