John Rennie Obituary

John "J.B." Rennie 2021
Virden, IL—John William Rennie was tragically taken from us on Feb.1, 2021. He was born in Virden, the son of Nelda (McLean) and John I. Rennie. He was named for his father John and his grandfather William, but "Johnny Bill" soon became known as "J.B.".
And known, he was. A lifelong resident of Virden, he graduated from Virden High School in 1980 . He was employed by the State of Illinois, Department of Communications. As DJB, he channeled his love of music and state of the art stereo equipment into his DJ business for many years. He loved being a part of so many celebrations, and it gives us comfort to know he will be remembered as part of such happy occasions.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sisters, Tanna Kendrick, Teri(Frank) Musso, Sara Rennie, Cynda(Loy)Wrightsman, and Patti(Ed) Abbott. Six nieces and nephews.Troy Boblitt, Brittany Miller, Sara Bolen, Amy Richter, Adam Nichols and Aryn Nichols and nine great-nieces and nephews. He is also mourned by many friends that considered him
family. He was loved for his constant smile, his humor and his giving nature.
Due to Covid there will be no public services.
In memory of J.B., please give to the charity of your choice, do some act of kindness in his name, and think of him when you listen to good music. He'd like that.
Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home in Virden is honored to be caring for J.B.'s family.

I will always remember JB as that cute sweet little blonde hair boy. (With Patti as his sidekick.) Such a terrible lost. Thinking about you girls. Stay strong.
