My deepest sympathy to his wife and family. The time I worked with him on I-55 so many years ago are forever etched in my memory and a high point in my career and life. He was a lot of fun (except when he quit smoking during Lent) and a good friend always.

Even though I hadn't seen Joe in awhile, I can still see him trying to tell a funny story, laughing and tears rolling down his cheeks before he could finish. I learned a lot from him (state work)and now know it is OK to get out the trencher for Spring cleaning. My prayers for his family at their loss.
