May I add my sincere sympathy and condolences to that of many who knew and admired Rick. It has been my pleasure to know him and his family while growing up in Pleasant Hill and in later years while working at the Secretary of States Office and knowing the respect and admiration he attained there. We offer our condolences to the Conner family, one of the best families we've ever known. Rick's outstanding qualities, caring, thoughtfulness, competitiveness, humbleness, fairness, and generosity were all products of his upbringing. Rick was the "poster child" for showing a positive attitude. He has always been one of our favorite student-athletes, and we will miss him. R.I.P. Rick.

My heart aches to hear of the loss of such a beautiful person. I never met Rick , but heard many great things about Him through his sister Patty. She told me of all his great achievements, his beautiful wife and children. She mostly told me of her deep love for him. I can't even imagine the grief you are feeling, but I know our God is big enough to heal the hurt and replace it with joy in time. Love you Patty and Tom

It just saddens all our hearts to hear of Rick's passing. I too worked with Rick at the Secretary of State's office. It is so true Rick always had a smile and kind word for everyone. Anyone who knows Rick, you knew he loved spending time with his family and friends at the lake home! He would share some of his stories with us. I am so sorry.
