Sparkyl Williams Obituary
SPRINGFIELD - Ms. Sparkyl Bryanne-Nakeya Williams, 13, of Springfield passed away at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at St. John's Hospital.
She was born in Springfield on Dec. 15, 1994, the daughter of Bryant Williams and Jeorgyaleen Holloway.
Ms. Williams attended Washington Middle School. She was a member of the Boys and Girls Club of Springfield and 21st Century of Springfield.
Surviving are her mother, Jeorgyaleen Holloway of Springfield; her father, Bryant Williams of Wisconsin; sisters, Cescily Hale and Starre Williams; a brother, Bryant Williams II; half sister, Anika Burgess; half brother, Bryant Williams Jr.; maternal grandparents, Irma Lott and Marvin Jackson; paternal grandmother, Shirley Shields, all of Springfield; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Bisch and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the family and will be designated at a later date.

Sparkyl was so a valued part of the Washington Middle School band. She was talented and seemed to enjoy her time playing the baritone! She had a smile that was infectious and I'm very lucky to have known her. She never hesitated to tell me when she thought I was being too picky, but she always voiced her opinions with respect and that cute smile! I think of her so often, she was ripped away from us too soon. God be with you as you cherish your memories.

I was looking at a video clip that had been sent to my phone of Sparkyl doing one of her routines for the family and it just made my heart so sad and at the same time I had to smile. What a beautiful memory I have! She was and still is such a beautiful child. Oh Sparkyl, there were none like you! My days at the Club were brief but you helped make every one of them count. You really were too much :) because God saw fit to take you on to a place that could truly appreciate all that you are. I do not know Sparkyl or her family but I have lost a child and I know how painful it is. Please know that she is with the Lord and you will see her again.
Please check into Bereaved Parents group in Springfield ([email protected]). It really helped me to go to the meetings with other parents who have suffered the same pain and grief. I couldn't have survived without it and my other kids and husband but no one can understand like other bereaved parents.

From my first days at the Boys & Girls Club unitl my last you were such a bright spot. Your sense of humor and your willingness to help always made the days better at the Club. You were so full of talent and loved to share that with us with your poems, songs, cheers and art. Knowing you was truly a blessing and I feel like a better person for it. My heart is broken right now but I know you are in heaven and having fun meeting new friends. I will see you again but until then I will carry you in my heart.
