Stacey Brown Obituary

Stacey Jean Brown 1989 - 2017
Columbia, TN—Stacey Jean Brown, age 28, wife of Chase Brown, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Duke University Hospital in North Carolina after a long battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Phil Mash and Mylan Coble officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 3-7PM and again on Sunday from 1-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on July 7, 1989 in Springfield, IL, Stacey was the daughter of Steve and Patty Casson Evoy. She attended Little Flower School, the Heritage Public Schools, Independence High School, Columbia State University, and earned her bachelor's degree in 2011 from Middle Tennessee State University. In 1994, Stacey received the Young Heroes Award from the 183rd Fighter Group. She was a member of the ROTC where she was the Battalion Commander for over 230 cadets and held the highest rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Stacey married Chase Brown on August 2011 and together they had one son, Jackson Brown who meant the world to her and was her life. She worked as the Human Resource assistant at Williamson Medical Center and in her spare time she enjoyed crafting, fishing, and cooking. Stacey was a proud recipient of a double lung transplant from Duke University Hospital and was very grateful to the donor for giving her such a generous gift.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband: Chase Brown of Columbia; son: Jackson Brown of Columbia; parents: Steve & Patty Casson Evoy of Thompson's Station; paternal grandparents: Raymond & Frances Evoy of Springfield, IL; mother-in-law: Susan Brown Cox of Culleoka; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces.
Honorary pallbearers will include the Columbia Fire Department.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the account set up in Jackson Brown's name at Ascend Federal Credit Union.

Patty, Steve, Jack and Chase, I am so saddened when I just learned of Staceys passing. I am so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful Stacey. I met her when she was a young girl coming out to San Diego for a visit with her Uncle Jim. I saw that she was really a little angel sent from the heaven. And, I still cherish the memory of the CF walk one time in Springfield with her and the rest of you. May the memories of her last forever in your hearts and minds. Rest in peace, Little Angel.

Patty and Steve,
The Antonacci family send our sincere condolences and lift you in prayer. We cherish our memories of your family at Little Flower.

My condolences for your loss. I never had the opportunity to meet Stacey but we connected through sports and the Tennessee Titans, as well as John Carrigan from Wells Fargo when she was a young girl. John informed me of her passing and it hurt my heart even though we were only connected through the love of a game and a Team. God bless you.

I met Stacey as a little girl at Little Flower School in Springfield, Illinois. I was one of the secretaries there who used to give her medicine every day at lunch. I remember her as beautiful and charming. She would hide from me playfully sometimes, and sometimes she would sing for me! We shared a laugh every time I saw her. Goodbye sweet princess as flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.....Peggy Mason

I did not know Stacey but I lost a daughter to the horrible disease (cf), ten years ago. I feel your pain and hope for a cure. Fly high Stacey and say hello to Michele Rae from her family. May your fondest memories carry you through this most difficult time.

I had the privilege of "meeting" Stacey on the Duke Transplant website, before her transplant. My son, who also has CF, had his transplant last August. Stacey had some questions, that I tried to help her with. I then had the privilege of meeting her when she was inpatient at Duke, after her transplant. I followed her posts. She was a true fighter..both as a CFer and a transplant patient!
To Chase, Jack, her parents, the rest of her family and friends, you are in my thoughts and prayers! May God Bless and Comfort you during this most difficult time of sorrow! Heaven has gained another angel! RIP Stacey

Sending love, prayers and comfort to the Brown family and friends during this time. What a beautiful representation of love, courage and so much more through Stacey's life. She touched many lives in a short amount of time. I pray that as each new day passes, her legacy will heal grieving hearts and flood your souls with everlasting memories.....

I give my sympathy to all of Stacey's family. Even though I did not know her, it saddens me that yet another beautiful person has passed from cystic fibrosis. Looking at Stacey's picture reminds me of my own CF daughter who became an angel 16 years ago at the age of 30. My daughter, Kim, and I spent many hours with CF fundraisers. I pray Stacey's life was enriched with some of the medical progress over the past several years. Love to you all.

My heartfelt sympathies to everyone in Stacey's family. I did not know Stacey, but I know Jim Casson very well since college. I'm the one who made 5 purple scarves for Scarves for Stacey. When I got new sneakers, they came with white laces that I didn't like so I bought purple laces to honor Stacey and her fight against the disease. I hope someday that there will be a cure. Rest in peace, Stacey.

Prayers to Chase, Jack, Steve, and Patty. I am truly honored that I was blessed enough to meet Stacey. She was beautiful inside and out and always had a smile on her face. I told her that she was my hero and when I felt down I always reminded myself that if she could keep a smile on her face with everything she was going through that I most definitely could as well. I'm going to miss her and our little chats. RIH beautiful angel.
