CINDY ANTHONY Obituary

August 25, 1956 -
December 28, 2017

Cindy Rose (George) Anthony, 61, passed away unexpectedly, on December 28, 2017, in Everett, Washington, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 25, 1956. She was educated in the Concrete School District, and graduated from Concrete High School.
Cindy worked at Aviation Tech Services in Everett for 28 years, and was planning on retiring this year.

Cindy met Don "Tony" Anthony in 1987, and it was love at first sight! He was working for Columbia Helicopters. They were in the area working on a logging project. Tony and Cindy were inseparable from the beginning to the end. True soulmates! They were married in December 1989, and lived in Concrete on the Skagit, the river that she loved, until they built their home together in Everett, and relocated there.

Cindy loved to travel, and they took many trips; including numerous ones to Arizona, where they had planned to purchase a home and retire this year. Her dog, "Mandy" was her faithful companion, and she loved that dog desperately. She took pride in her home and loved to tend to landscaping outdoors as well. She worked hard, and she played hard.

FEISTY! That's the word, Tony used to describe his wife, with a tearful smile, and we all agreed!! She was a fighter, but cancer took her quickly and without warning, and she never got the chance to fight back. She had a huge heart and never forgot a friend. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, whom have all been in on the countdown to the retirement day, and the new life they had planned.

Cindy is survived by her beloved husband, Don Anthony Jr. at their home in Everett; by her mother, Mary Johnson, Concrete, Washington; sister, Patricia, Concrete, Washington; brother Ed George (Delores), Stanwood, Washington; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and of course, her beloved dog, Mandy.

She was preceded in death by her father, George George; step-father, Tom Johnson; her grandparents, Hobart and Erla Holyfield.

A Celebration of Cindy's Life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley, Washington, followed by a luncheon at the Sedro-Woolley Legion Club.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.

Cindy and I met in barber school years and years ago, and became instant friends. She was kind, fun, hard worker, and loved her family. I'm shocked and sad upon learning she passed. Sending warm thoughts and hugs to her family and husband as they go through this difficult time. I will never, ever forgot the impact she has on my life.

Growing up with Patty and Cindy was nothing but fun. Cindy could always be counted on as a sister and a friend.
Many share the loss and sadness with Tony, Mary, Ed and Patty, as well as the rest of the family.
Cindy will be sorely missed by all.

Looking east, I remember when Cindy first met Tony and felt some criticism from skeptics about "love at first sight"... I'm happy that I advised her to just follow her heart... After their whirlwind romance, Cindy never said anything other than how happy she & Tony were. True Love does exist!
