GLORIA ARRINGTON Obituary
October 7, 2017
Gloria Ann (Stewart) Arrington, passed peacefully in her sleep on October 7, 2017.
She was born September 21, 1934 in Highland Park, Michigan, the daughter of Ray and Lucille Gonzales. Her family moved to Skagit County where Gloria graduated from Mount Vernon High School with the Class of '52.
Gloria attended the University of Washington, receiving her degree in Accounting and Finance. She married Richard Ziegler in 1955 and they raised two children while working as a bookkeeper for Hansen's furniture. Gloria enjoyed bowling and loved doing ceramics, crafts and activities with her children. She was an avid piano player, an excellent seamstress and never missed a chance for a good game of cards; her favorite of all was bingo with her much-loved seniors from Windsor Square in Marysville.
In 1985, Gloria met and married Daniel Arrington, they built a beautiful home in Marysville. Upon her retirement, they traveled extensively throughout the southern states in their motorhome and went on cruises. Gloria especially loved planning their cruise adventures, such as to Hawaii, the Caribbean or the Mediterranean.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Arrington in 2015. Survivors include children: Mark Ziegler of Seattle. Laura Ziegler and Steve Brickley of Anacortes and sister Diana Stewart of Spokane Washington.
Her family graciously thank the staff at La Conner Retirement Inn and Home Place of Burlington for their care and compassion. Special thanks to everyone at Windsor Square in Marysville, we will miss you always.
