SHARENE COSTULIS Obituary

Sharene Sue (Anderson) Costulis passed away at Life Care Center of Sedro-Woolley at the age of 57 on November 19, 2008 after a ten year battle with kidney cancer.

She was born to James and Dolly Anderson in Minden Mines, Missouri on January 29, 1951, she married Jimmie Nick Costulis, Sr. on September 30, 1964 in Girard, Kansas.

She is survived by her husband Jimmie at home; one son, Jimmie Nick Costulis, Jr., and wife Kim (Algona, WA); sisters Cecile (Gillette, WY) and Shirley (Eldorado Springs, MO) and brothers Dale (Overland Park, KS), Robert and Kenneth (Pittsburg, KS) and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dolly Anderson, and two brothers, Donnie and Gary.

At her request, no services will be held. Cremation will follow the donation of her body for cancer research.

Special thanks to the University of Washington Medical Center, Hospice of Skagit County and to the special friends who were with her throughout this time.

Donations may be made to the Skagit Valley Humane Society in her name.

God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around her and whispered "Come with Me".
With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away.
Although we loved her deeply we couldn't make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating hard-working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.

Dear Sharene's family. My heart goes out to you at this time. I never met Sharene, but there is a bond. I have suffered several years with Kidney cancer, having it metastasize to my pancreas. I have had 3 surgeries and always recovered, sometimes painfully and not very quickly. I just want to tell you that I am praying for your family. May God bless you and comfort you at this time.

My love goes especially to her son and husband who I know loved her deeply. I know she is at peace now and no longer suffering.
