James Farrish Obituary
Jim grew up in Brimley, Michigan. He worked as a salesman at Sears in Sault Ste. Marie in the 1960's before moving his family to California where he sold cars for a few years. Then, for 30 years, he lived in Hawaii where he owned a used car dealership. Jim retired 15 years ago and returned to Michigan to live 12 years ago.
Jim loved to hunt and fish, especially with his grandson. Jim was so proud of all of his children and grandchildren and would often brag of all their accomplishments. He had a sparkle in his eye when he spoke of them and loved them all so very much.
Jim is survived by his children, James Farrish Jr. of Sault Ste. Marie, Jeffrey (Robin) Farrish of Sault Ste. Marie, Joseph (Helen) Farrish of Dafter, Michigan, Janet (Robert) Farrish-Gravelle of Brimley, and Jason (Robin) Farrish of Mercer Island, Washington; grandchildren, Cheryl (Mark Davis) Farrish, Monica (Shane) Durante, Jeffrey Farrish Jr., Keith Walker, Jeffrey (Sandra) Hall, Justin Hall, Nicholas Farrish, Cassondra Farrish, Joseph Farrish Jr., Devin Farrish, Amber (Brent) Edington, Alicia (Darrel McCoy) Roy, Tori (Trevor Balyeat) Roy, Tanner Bowlin, and William Farrish; great grandchildren, Peyton, Logan, Kainoa, Damien, Kailana, Mila, Sophiane, Cayden, Haven, Aubrey, Alex, Ricky, and Payton; brother John ""Jack"" Farrish of Watervliet, Michigan; sister, Wanda Eby of Sault Ste. Marie; and a dear niece who was like a sister, Carol Carpenter of Moreno Valley, California.
Jim is preceded in death by grandson, James Henry Farrish III; brothers, William and Robert Farrish; and sisters, Phyllis Forejt, Donna Dean, and Yvonne Farrish.
Services will be held Thursday, August 4, at R. Galer Funeral Home in Pickford, Michigan. Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. with funeral services starting at 3 p.m.

You have my deepest sympathy at your loss of Jim. I didn't know him as well as I would have liked, as i was his meals on wheels delivery driver. What i did know of Jim is that he was a gentle man and warm hearted.
