I am so sad for the loss of Chris. He was a great guy. I hadn't seen or talked to him in nearly 15 years till this past summer we had spoke on the phone and I ran into him at summer feast while I was home visiting. He was a very proud Dad. He told me all about his two girls and how they meant the world to him. My thoughts and prayers go out to all his family and friends. He will be missed terribly. May God be with you and comfort you during this sad time.

Dear Family,
I got to know Chris and you all on Marion St in the early 80s and hadn't seen Chris in 15-20 years but am still saddened at seeing the news of this loss. Tom & he were great neighborhood kids to have around and I'll always remember our field trip to the House of David.

I met Chris when he was around 12 years old. He was our "paper boy", along with his brother, Tom. He also became a good friend over the years. Chris was a sweet and gentle soul. At an age when most boys would have, "better things to do", he would, "check in" on me and my baby daughter, Erin, after my husband left me with a newborn baby and a dog named Bernard. When Chris saw how overwhelmed I was, he adopted Bernard, and gave him a loving home, he even babysat my daughter a few times when I was in a pinch. I know how much he loved his family, and I will never forget his sweet spirit. He will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family and friends.

Words can not express how sorry I feel for the entire family. I will pray for the girls to always remember how much their father loved them--always the proud Dad bragging about them at work and displaying lots of pictures. Dan and Bobbie--my thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. Sorry I can't be there to give you a hug.

I will always remember the fun times Chris, Dean, and I had working at Martin's together, playing basketball, and turning 21 while the 3 of us rented a house in South Bend during our single days back in 1992-1993. Fond memories are priceless and they will not be forgotten.

I met Chris when he was about 12 years old. He was my "paper boy", and then...my friend. Chris was a sweet soul. He was a good and responsible young man. He was a friend to me when my husband left me, a young mother, with a baby daughter, and a dog named Bernard. Chris babysat my baby girl, and ended up adopting Bernard from me, when it became too much for me to handle. Most boys his age would have had better things to do with their time than to check in, and help out some lady they met on their paper route; but Chris did. I will never forget that sweet young man.
