Dad
I am honored to be your daughter, and best friend. You have taught me so much about life. I loved your passion for sports and laughter. I dont know how many people have ever had their father tell them "I'm proud of you.", but hearing my dad tell me was better than winning the lottery! Dad,you truly are my best friend and I will continue to make you proud of me. I love and miss you so much.

To Judy and "Lacy's" Immediate Family:

May God strengthen you in your time of need, Lacy is a special person near and dear to my heart, never once thoughout the 45 or more years that I knew him, did I ever experience any negative words or actions from him, he is an shining example of what a child of God is and what a good man should project, I had the blessing of saying goodbye to him at our doctor's office recently, I saw Judy and she took me to you and that's is were we looked into each other's eyes for the last time on this earth, God makes no mistakes and he wanted Lacy to come home. I will miss your smile and beaming demeanor the most, but I will see you again...my friend. Love to you and yours. Peace Be Still.

To the family,
Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to the entire family. We loved Robert and wouldn't want to know a finer person than he. We will miss him at family dinners & get-to-gathers. He enjoyed talking with me (James) and I enjoyed him. We loved Robert and cannot express just how much his presence will me missed. May God hold the family in His Loving Arms and give you all the strength needed at this time.

My sincere condolences on Lacy's passing. He is prominent in so many of my childhood/teenage memories. He will be missed.

He was one of the greatest sluggers in neighborhood wiffle ball history (only man to ever hit one over the pine tree in the alley). And no one ever could figure out how to defend his unique
"fake-dip-over-under" move in our pick-up basketball games.

The last time I saw him was at the high school graduation of his daughters - he was such a proud papa that day!

Best regards,

I was very saddened to hear of Robert's passing. I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to his wife, children and entire family. Robert did love his job and was one of the hardest workers I have had the pleasure to know for a long time. He will be missed by all at Schafer Gear Works.
