DAVID ADKINS

JEFFREY, W.Va — David Michael Adkins, 49, of Jeffrey, went to be with the Lord Oct. 6, 2014. He passed away at home with family after a short illness.

Born Nov. 14, 1964, he was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Lehman Adkins. He attended Ball Chapel Community Church.

He is survived by his wife, Shena L. Adkins; father, Casey Adkins, Jr. of Danville; sister, Debra(Clifford) Clark of Danville; daughters, Holly (Andy)Puckett of Milan, Ga., Brittany (Jenny) Adkins of Beckley and Tabatha (Pug) Adkins of Jeffrey; son, Jonathan Holley of Jeffrey; granddaughters, Shyan Marie Felton of Jeffrey; aunt, Lorine McNeely of Shaprles; niece, Jennifer Clark (Joe Toler) of Coal Valley; nephews, James Clark of Danville, Cameron Sharp and Jordon Jacobs, both of Kistler; and sister-in-law, Angel Caldwell of Kistler.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wed., Oct. 8 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. Bobby Adkins and Rev. Edsel Aleshire officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Logan. Pallbearers will be Joey Cook, James Clark, Leon Marcum, James Cantrell, Joe Toler and Randy Adkins.

Friends may call 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

I sent a text before that my husband witnessed to David in the hospital and would love to know if he was saved by the time he passed away, Darlene Keeton ,,,,[email protected] Shena please text me .Joe passed away a week later the he. We did not know at the time he only had six months too.
