Catherine Ledger Obituary

Catherine "Cathy" Ledger, of Quincy, passed away on October 10, 2017, after her battle with cancer, at the age 52. She is survived by her loving son, Joshua. She was the daughter of Bernard and the late Kitty; sister of Noel (deceased), Tony, Bernard, Gary, Paul, Stephen, Christopher, Marie McNamara, Valerie Maher and Bernadette McMahon; aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends. She also leaves behind her longtime soulmate, Barry Presta. Cathy grew up in Limerick, Ireland, and moved to the United States in 1985. While here she worked at St. John's, Roche Brother's and lastly Target. She began her fight with cancer in 2012 and fought it hard and stayed positive throughout even with all the pain she encountered. Plus with the support of friends and family she beat cancer in 2013. She was in remission for 6 months until she found out that the cancer returned then continue to fight it until her last days. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend Mass service on Friday, October 20, at 10 a.m. at St. John's Church, 21 Gay St., Quincy, 44 School St., Quincy, followed by lunch at 12 at McKay's, located at 144 Franklin St., Quincy.
