James Gallimore Obituary

James B. Gallimore, age 90, entered into eternal life on June 20, 2018. Jim was born and raised in Cambridge and had lived in Weymouth since 1954. Mr. Gallimore was a World War II Army veteran serving in the occupation of Japan. He worked for Polaroid Company in Waltham for many years. James a was a very loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved his wife with all his heart and soul. As his children always said, it was the greatest love story of all time. He loved his country. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy M. (Busby) Gallimore for 67 years; devoted father of Linda D'Acci and her late husband John of Rockland, Ellen Kinsman and her husband Thomas of Middleboro, James W. Gallimore and his wife Diane of Pembroke and Laura Hammill and her husband Chris of Weymouth. He is survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters, Carol Fongeallaz of Virginia and Anna Williams of Bridgewater. He was the brother of the late Jackie, Alvin, George, Tyrone, Isabelle Buchanan, Alice and Patricia Gallimore. Visiting hours at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth, on Sunday, June 24, from 1 until 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Fixing cars in your driveway, watching the Red Sox in your recliner, chomping on another stogie, or taking the neighborhood kids to Welcome farm for an ice cream. You will always be a part of my fond memories growing up on Southern ave. Rest In Peace Mr. G.

Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S.,Army during WW II and with the Army of Occupation in Japan. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
