Pauline R. Duffy

Pauline R. (McCarroll) of Norwell, formerly of Braintree and Weymouth, passed away Nov. 25, 2011, after a long illness. She was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. Pauline was an Administrative Assistant at the former Boston Gearworks and retired from sales at the former Jordan Marsh Co. Pauline was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis Xavier Church and South Shore Hospital. She was a late member of the Ladies Sodality and the 3rd Order of St. Francis and volunteered at South Shore Hospital and Cardinal Cushing School. Beloved wife of the late James J. Duffy. Mother of Joanne Powers, married to Carl of Hanover and Paul J. Duffy of Nashua, NH. Sister of Beth Winmill of Wrentham and the late Louise O'Neill. Also survived by eight grandchildren. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, South Weymouth at 809 Main St., (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) Monday at 8:00 a.m. Funeral Mass to follow in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 p.m. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
