Pauline Duffy Obituary

Pauline R. (McCarroll) of Norwell, formerly of Braintree and Weymouth, passed away Nov. 25, 2011, after a long illness. She was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. Pauline was an Administrative Assistant at the former Boston Gearworks and retired from sales at the former Jordan Marsh Co. Pauline was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis Xavier Church and South Shore Hospital. She was a late member of the Ladies Sodality and the 3rd Order of St. Francis and volunteered at South Shore Hospital and Cardinal Cushing School. Beloved wife of the late James J. Duffy. Mother of Joanne Powers, married to Carl of Hanover and Paul J. Duffy of Nashua, NH. Sister of Beth Winmill of Wrentham and the late Louise O'Neill. Also survived by eight grandchildren. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, South Weymouth at 809 Main St., (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) Monday at 8:00 a.m. Funeral Mass to follow in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 p.m. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne. Paul and Joanne, so sorry to just hear of your mother's passing. She was truly a great neighbor and friend. We all hold dear memories of years past. Always, the Davis family.

I am very sorry to hear of your mother's passing... Your mom's happy attitude is something I still remember every time i drive past your house on red jacket on the way to my mom's house. She was a very kind, loving and cheerful woman.

I am so sorry to here of the passing of your mother. My mother worked with her at Jordan Marsh and she was a great friend thru my mothers illness
