It was a pleasure and an honor being a friend of Ray's for more than 80 years. I have many memories of growing up together in Quincy... especially Ray playing the trumpet in his Model T Ford. Throughout World War II and over these many years, we always kept in touch. And later in life, Ray took the train to Boston in the middle of an ice storm to attend my wife, Mary, and my 50th wedding anniversary celebration.

We spoke only about a month ago as his daughter Caroline would be sure to call me for him from time to time.

Ray, you were a great friend and I will miss you. May you rest in peace.

Your pal,
Guy

Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe fighting the Germans during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
