James Michael "Mickey" Swain
James Michael "Mickey" Swain was born on May 2, 1942 in Green Creek, NC, the son of Roy James Swain and Grace Miller Swain. He grew up in Inman, SC, and attended Clemson University. He supervised many site-work and engineering projects during his career.
He loved his family, reggae music, old Westerns, sailing, fresh flowers and most of all, people.
He was known for his positive attitude, his beautiful smile, sense of humor, and his compassion for everyone.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jacqueline Swain of Charleston, and his three children, James Michael "Jay" Swain of Charleston, Julie Livoti of Columbia, and Christopher Stuart Swain and wife, Michelle, of Lexington, SC. He is survived by four grandsons: Matthew and Joseph Livoti and Stuart and Callan Swain.
Mickey is also survived by one sister, Gloria Lovett and her two Children, Stephanie West and Stephen Lovett, all of Inman, SC, and one great-nephew, Michael Lovett and one great-niece, Gracie Lovett.
At Mickey's request, there will be no service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Milos Budisavljevic and the Dialysis Clinic on Folly Road for their excellent care.
In addition, a special thanks to his devoted caregiver Shalanda Smiley.
