She is best remembered by viewers in New Orleans for her time anchoring at WDSU NewsCenter 6 from 1986-92. Though we never crossed paths in person, we had been great Facebook friends, and she greatly admired my many documentations of her run in The Big Easy. She is sorely missed...

I had the honor of working with Bev at KREM-TV. I started as an intern while still in college and she was my mentor. I learned so much from her, from producing newscasts to reporting. There are people who touch, shape and influence our lives and she has had an indelible and incredibly positive influence on mine. Such a privilege to know her, work beside her and keep in touch over the years. What a beautiful person. My heart goes out to her family, friends and colleagues.
