Fred Robohn passed away on November 15, 2023, he was 77 years old. He was the second child born to Walter Frederick Robohn and Francis Emma Watkins. He was born in Emporia, KS, and was raised in Manhattan, KS, with his sisters, Sarah (Susie), Frances, and Barbara Jean. He graduated from Monsignor Luckey High in 1964, briefly attended Kansas State University, then enlisted in the United States Air Force in January of 1965. During his career in the Air Force, he was stationed at bases in the states of New York, Texas, Washington (twice), Louisiana, Maine, and Alaska. He also spent time overseas in Iran and Saudi Arabia. While studying Russian in Language School at Syracuse University, Fred met his first wife, Lise Frostad. They had one son, Scott Frostad Robohn. It was on his first assignment to Fairchild Air Force Base when he met his second wife, Constance Marie Wilson (Connie), in Spokane. Fred and Connie were married November 18, 1967. The couple had three children: Erica Lynn, Michael (Mike) Frederick and Carolyn Susanne. Fred and Connie were active members of their community wherever they were stationed. Fred coached soccer, joined bowling and softball leagues, and sang in the church choir. He also enjoyed singing in a variety of barbershop choirs. They were married for 54 years at the time of Connie's passing. Fred had a distinguished career in the Air Force winning many awards, earning the highest enlisted rank achievable, Chief Master Sergeant, and was respected as a leader and mentor. He worked for the State of Washington after his retirement in February of 1993. Fred was always an active volunteer with numerous organizations throughout his career and in retirement. Most notably, in the Spokane area, he sat on the board at Global Credit Union, was a dedicated Ham Bone at Ferris High School and served the Cave Bay Community HOA for many years. Fred is survived by his four children: Scott (m. Stephanie Flagg), Erica (m. John Traxler), Michael (m. Melissa Johnson), and Carolyn (m. Tyson Roberts), as well as fourteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren (plus two on the way!). He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Connie.
