I am sad to hear of the passing of a man that I called friend, collegue and mentor. My condolences to the family and especially his boys.
Dave and I worked together for only a few years but during those years I learned from him and respected his dedication to his sons. Admired and respected his dedication to the judicial process during our efforts to reorganize of the Coeur d' alene Tribal Court system.
Take care my friend and I am sure your journey in the spirit world will surely be one of humor and joy.
I can still hear your laughter as you are teasing someone nearby.

David Lee had a wonderful sense of humor, and his great laugh was very contagious. From Devils Lake to Halsey to Eugene to Warm Springs to Worley, He was one of my favorite people. I know many of us are better people for having known Him. We are greatful for his time with us. He did have a great love for his family. We will miss Him.

Dave was such a wonderful person and to see him gone is going to be so hard. He definetly loved his sons, and he was the best person to talk to about anything. He will be missed for sure and I pray to his family that things will get easier for them.

To my relatives on the CDA tribal lands. Uncle Dave was a good guy. Very talented and people were his biggest asset. He loved to talk, visit, debate, console and do what he could to help. He never was afraid of work and was always willing to give what he could to people in time of need even if he didn't have it. He always found a way. We will miss our Uncle but know he is making legal decisions in the other world. His boys were his life. Harding boys please watch over each other in this time of grief.

I knew Judge Harding for many years through my work with Tribes in Idaho and Washington. From our first meeting I knew that he was a special man, very caring and committed to Indian people's welfare and justice. I will miss him.
