George CHRISTIE Obituary

Born February 24, 1946, to George and Leleith Christie in Seattle, Washington, George William Christie passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in Spokane Valley, WA. A loving husband, father, and friend, George served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War, and after an honorable discharge continued to serve his country employed as EMS in the Fairfield Ambulance Service and as a Volunteer firefighter in Spokane County Fire District 2. George loved to fish. He enjoyed nature, wooden puzzles, barbequing, football, and aquariums. He is survived by his wife Debbie Christie; One son George Christie III; Two stepsons Tony and Jason Ottosen; One daughter Beverly Christie; Eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter Denice Christie. A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2023, followed by a light reception at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home 1315 N. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.
