Jimmy D from Chicago will miss you more than you can imagine. It was fun to have you in our life and in our hearts. You had the hearts of so many, many people who celebrated your life. I think you were a pretty popular Irish man. RIP will never, ever forget you!

Hi Joan. Thank you for your condolences. Jimmy and my grandmother Shirley began dating over 16 years ago. Jimmy instantly became a part of our family. He was a great man. He was very kind hearted and got along with everyone. He loved his sports more than anyone I know. He was very knowledgeable of past and present sporting events of all sorts of sports. He loved to play poker also. He loved watching Jeopardy and other game shows. We will miss Jimmy D

God Bless Jimmy and the entire Devine family.
I was best friends with his sister, Maureen, who died too young. She loved her older brother and thought the world of him.
It is a short, but interesting way I even came across Jimmy's passing.
I have been thinking about Maureen lately and her family. We first met in Nov. when I was 5. I was also reading a story about L. Frank Baum who wrote Wizard of Oz. The L. stands for Lyman! I have no idea what possessed me to look up Mr. Devine's name in Google, but I did. And under the census report for Mr. Lyman Devine came the obituary for Jimmy who has just passed.
I am sorry for your loss, but I know there was a joyous reunion in Heaven.
Our family was very close to Jimmy's mom and sister. I let my family know so prayers can be said. God bless.
