Lisa LEWIS Obituary

LEWIS, Lisa A. (Age 62) Lisa Lewis passed away Friday morning December 11th, 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 62. Lisa A. Lewis was born in Denver, Colorado on July 9th, 1958. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Jimmy D. Lewis, two brothers and one sister, as well as her children, Lindsey and Devin and step-children Ashley and Zack. Lisa also had eight grandchildren who she loved very much and who will miss her terribly. Lisa brought zest and passion to all she did. She was Vice-Principal and Co-Founder of Kootenai Bridge Academy where her friends, co-workers and students will never forget her radiant spirit. She loved live music especially outdoors, good food (and the cooking of the same) and road trips with no direction or destination. For Lisa, it was always about the Journey. One leg of that Journey has ended, but another has begun. Lisa was always ready for an adventure. She traveled extensively and held a wide variety of jobs throughout her life. Her knowledge across a broad range of topics was always impressive. She was a good friend to many and gave the best advice and a sympathetic ear to any who needed it. Her passing leaves all who knew her deeply saddened but profoundly grateful to have shared this world with her. ENGLISH FUNERAL CHAPEL, Coeur d'Alene, ID.

It has been three years since Lisa left this world. I have often thought of the times we used to stand in the back of her house and talk. It was Winter time in 1966 and what did we know. We were in Third Grade. I was 9 years old and she was Eight. We lived in Greenwich, NJ. At the end of the year, her mother took her back to live in Colorado. Lisa was a real sweetheart.

I knew Lisa when I was in third grade. Her mother and her had moved in from Colorado. They stayed for just one year. Lisa was a pleasant sweet girl. She left a beautiful impression with everyone that met her.

She was such a beautiful, vibrant light floating amongst us. Her passing is truly a loss to the world. My deepest sympathy to Jimmy and the rest of her family.
