Marcia DUFFEY Obituary

May 1, 1947 – May 16, 2025

Marcia Lee Duffey (Brinkman), 78, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, in Gilbert, Arizona, surrounded by her children.

Born May 1, 1947, in Dearborn, Michigan, she was the beloved daughter of the late William Frederick Brinkman II and Theresa (Lisuzzo) Brinkman. On January 30, 1982, she married the love of her life, Douglas R. Duffey, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Together they raised two sons and built a family grounded in love, kindness, and faith.

Marcia found her greatest joy in her family, especially her grandchildren. Known as "Nana," she cherished birthdays, holidays, and any chance to create lasting memories with those she loved. She enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, dancing, traveling on girls' trips, and sharing many laughs during casino outings with her sisters-in-law.

Professionally, Marcia dedicated 35 years to GMAC, where she was admired for her commitment, professionalism, and the many friendships she cultivated and maintained throughout her life. She was known for her warm heart, welcoming smile, and ability to make everyone feel at home.

A woman of deep Catholic faith, Marcia attended Mass regularly and drew strength from her relationship with Jesus, facing life's final chapter with grace and peace.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas Duffey Jr. (Ashley) and David Duffey (Gabrielle); and her grandchildren, Finnian and Mila. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas R. Duffey; her parents; and her siblings, Patricia Stachecki, William Frederick Brinkman III, and Elizabeth Lewan.

A Rosary Service will be held on June 16, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Tempe, Arizona, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., and a reception at the family home. A graveside service will take place on July 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane, Washington, with a reception following at Twigs Bistro & Martini Bar.

Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate her life.
