Margaret WRIGHT Obituary

Margaret "Marge" Jo Wright passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 2, 2023, at the age of 77.

Marge was born in Spokane, WA, to Cliff and Neeta Hardee on October 11, 1945. She graduated from Shadle Park High School in Spokane in 1964 and worked as a hairdresser until she retired in 2005. Marge married Ted Wright in 1968 and they raised 2 children, Wendy and Jason.

Marge loved spending time with her grandchildren and working in her yard, but Marge also had a heart for serving our veterans. After retirement, she became active in the VFW Auxiliary where she held many positions in the organization and served as Washington State Auxiliary President from 2016-2017. Marge also volunteered at the Spokane VA Hospital and was recognized as an honorary representative.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Ted, and her brother David. She is survived by her children, Wendy Gilbert (Mark), and Jason Wright (Amber); her beloved grandchildren, Colton Gilbert, Natalie Gilbert, and Samantha Wright; her sisters, Charlene and Neeta; her brother Cliff; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at VFW Post 51 in Spokane, WA, on April 29, 2023, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local VFW in honor of Marge.

I met Marge when she worked at Jose´s Beauty Salon so many years ago. This was before either of us were married or had children. I continued to go to her wherever she went, up until she retired. In those years we spoke of our marriages, our kids, our lives. I knew Wendy and Jason pretty well thru Marge. Marge was a lovely woman. RIP Marge.

Our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Marge Wright. She (and Ted) had been our neighbors since we moved to Spokane 30 years ago. Such a wonderful person. She will be missed so much.
