Nancy POOL Obituary
Nancy Pool, 90, passed away August 8, 2022. Nancy Dimmer grew up in Tacoma, WA, the youngest of 3 siblings. During her college years, she met Dwight Pool, and they married following her graduation. After 2 years of teaching elementary school, she began her career as the mother of their 5 children. Throughout these years, Nancy was often referred to as "the other Mom" in the neighborhood. She took loving care of the many kids who passed through her doorway, smiling and laughing often, welcoming chats. She was a good listener, and many confided in her. Nancy had many interests that filled her free time. She was an avid reader and took part in book clubs. She gardened, antiqued, played bridge and was involved in church groups as well.
The Pool Family moved to Spokane in 1965 and were able to build their dream come true...a cabin at Priest Lake. Dwight and Nancy worked hard, doing the work themselves. It became the favorite place, and their summer home. After retirement, they moved to Gig Harbor to enjoy close proximity to family, and gentler weather during the winter, but still returned each summer to their cabin in "God's Country".
Nancy is survived by her 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Terri Reilly - Pat & Stacy Reilly (Aida, Delany), Stefanie & Cameron Brophy (Ira, Zaden, Elle), Ryan Reilly. Diane Everson - Ashley Everson & Adam Englund, Evan Everson, Bobby & Molly Everson (Josie, Cate, Jackson). Joanne & Rick Levesque - Justine Juliani (Caio), Janelle & Michael Khadder (Audrey, Johnny), Jodi Levesque. David & Teri Pool - Tanner Pool, Nicole Pool, Trevor Pool. Matthew & Shannon Pool - Chase Pool, Nolan Pool, Maggie Pool. She is preceded in death by her husband Dwight, and son-in-laws Terry Reilly and Gary Everson. Upon request, no funeral service is planned. In memory of Nancy, donations may be made to St. Blanche's Catholic Church, 27832 Hwy 57, Priest Lake, ID 83856.
Nancy was an amazing wife and mother, she loved her family and always seemed happiest in the chaos of everyone being together.
While she will be missed by so many, we just have a feeling she's loving being reunited with Dwight, and are probably dancing the Walla Walla Hop in Heaven...what a beautiful picture!
