Norma CLARK Obituary
Norma Lee (Hill) Clark was called home to be with her savior Jesus Christ, and reunited with her life-long love, Roger on March 1, 2024. Mom was born to Raymond and Olive Hill, November 26, 1934, in Moscow, ID. She was the fourth of six children and the oldest girl. Her family moved to Spokane (two blocks from the Clark family home) when she was 8, and where she met her future husband, Roger. Mom and Dad grew up together and even shared the same classes in the old McKinley School. Mom graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in 1953, and soon afterward was married to Roger on August 1, 1953.
Mom worked various jobs, but the bulk of her time was raising her children. Preparing to become empty nesters, mom and dad installed a pool, which would hold fond memories of family gatherings and the famous "initiation to the family" by being thrown in the pool!
Mom was a nurturing person and after the children were grown, opened an Adult Family Home as a place to house individuals of varying needs. She also worked along side of Dad when he opened his sheet metal business, until they retired.
Mom and Dad moved to Chattaroy in April 1965 to raise the family in the country. It was considered country back then. After 49 years, they downsized and returned to Spokane. In 2018, they moved to Mead, WA, until their passing.
Mom loved to garden at all locations she lived. She would plant and tend to each variety of flower and give away starters so others could have their own. Everyone learned something from moms knowledge of plants and flowers. She also enjoyed genealogy and finding family legacies of our family and others as well as generating family trees for those who asked.
Mom was preceded in death by her son, Timothy (5 months), her parents Raymond and Olive, four brothers, Kenneth, Marion, Lloyd, David Hill, and most recently her beloved husband, Roger (just shy of their 70th wedding anniversary). Mom is survived by her sister, Flora (Dale) Morris, son, Byron Clark (Georgia), daughters, Robyn Erickson (Jerry), and Janet Howard (Dave Crosby), brothers, Morris Clark and Melvin Clark, 11 grandkids, 26 great-grandkids, and 6 great-great-grandkids, with more on the way.
Mom will also be dearly missed by all family and friends who knew and loved her. At her request, there will be no service at this time.
The family would like to thank Hospice Spokane for their kindness and care given in the final months as well as Hospice House for their tender care in mom's final days.
