Richard A. FREDERICK

Richard A. Frederick, age 73, of Spokane Valley, WA, passed away August 15, 2025. He was born to Albert and Alberta Frederick on March 28, 1952, in Odessa, WA. Richard and Carolyn were married for 40 years.

Richard went to Rockford High School and graduated in 1970. He worked at Rockford Grain Growers for 16 years, then left and worked for MeadowWood and Liberty Lake golf courses for 19 years as a Mechanic, until his Parkinson's progressed and could no longer work.

Richard and Carolyn attended Valley Real Life Church for 16 years.

Surviving him, besides his wife, Carolyn, are his three children: Richard Jr., Jarrod (Amy), and Bradley Frederick (from his previous wife) all from Spokane. He was blessed with six grandchildren; Richie III, Zachary, Joshua, Bryce, Colton Frederick, and Samatha (Robby) Gee; and four great-grandchildren, Bella Frederick, Mae, Olivia and Hunter Gee. Also, his two stepchildren: Don (Kelly) Williams and Tamara (Mike) Bolton. He was also blessed with three step-granddaughters: Branda Wolff, Ashley (Robert) Darmody, and Jessica (Jerry) Fox; seven step-great-grandchildren: Kian, Ethan, Collin, Liam, Kenzie Fox, Braxton and Zoey Darmody; and one great-great-granddaughter: Hazel Fox. He is also survived by his brother, John Frederick; one sister-in-law, Darlene (Rey) Osuna; and brother-in-law, Darryl Weilage.

Preceding him in death, besides his parents, was his sister, Daine Ulrick.

Services for Richard will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224, on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, starting with a viewing and visitation at 10:30AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:30AM. A reception at 12:30PM and a concluding graveside service at 2:30PM in the Pines Cemetery, 1402 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
